But aside from that, he does enjoy quieter moments as well, especially if there is a lovely lady involved. He can play piano (or synthesizer) and has a decent singing voice, though he is by no means professional grade at that last one. |
| Personal History | 2381 - Born 2399 - Finished High School 2400-2404 - Attended Union Point in the specialization of Piloting (Astronavigation) 2404-2409 - Served as Ensign aboard the USS Arbiter, ferrying diplomats from ship to planet and back on many different worlds 2407 - Met Margo Etherton on one such escort mission. She was an aide to one of the diplomats, and they hit it off immediately. 2409-2419 - Served as Lieutenant Junior Grade and Lieutenant onboard the USS Curie, ferrying medical personnel back and forth between planets with difficult-to-cure illnesses and the ship. During this time, Margo began to exhibit signs of 'discontent'. These came in the form of verbal abuses. He ignored it for the most part until the day she hit him. 2417 - When Margo struck him, the final escalation of her abuses, rather than lay her out as some would, he simply reported her... and divorced her. 2419 - When the Curie was attacked by Krill forces, Phelan tried to coordinate the shuttles that were between the planet they were orbiting either back to the planet or to the ship, whichever seemed safer. the problem was that, in doing this, six shuttles (and their passengers, 24 people in total) were lost. Not only did he blame himself, but the Fleet did as well. He was reduced in rank and sent to serve where he was less likely to get people killed, Union Research Station 23. 2421 - Still (again) at the rank of Lieutenant Junior Grade, he was transferred again, farther out, to Union Mining Station 42. No explanation was given, and he didn't ask for one. |
